General cargo ships built 1950-1959 (Over 3000gt) | | Description: | The 1958 Doxford, Sunderland, built STAMATIOS G.EMBIRICOS, owned by G.S.Embiricos and represented in London by S.G.Embiricos Limited, is memorably seen arriving at Liverpool from Rio Grande on the ebbtide of a stormy 28th October 1974.
Laid up Piraeus 5.10.81; reactivated in July 1985 and, renamed SWORD, sailed from Volos for Yemen, doubtless with a cargo of bagged cement. She finally arrived at Chittagong on 27th October 1985 for breaking.
