Description:
Polish Steamship Company’s 1944/7 Short Bros., Sunderland, built HUTA FLORIAN was photographed transiting the Kiel Canal eastbound on 3rd July 1969 during a voyage from Melilla to Szczecin.
Her keel laid down on 22.1.44 as EMPIRE LAGOS, she was launched on 31.10.44 as the aircraft engine repair ship H.M.S. SOLWAY FIRTH but completed at Amsterdam as the Norwegian general cargo ship KONGSBORG.
