Description:
The June 1944 Bethelehem-Fairfield, Baltimore, built Liberty ship SAMSYLARNA is seen on the Kiel Canal passing Hochdonn on 4th July 1969 as the rebuilt HUTA SOSNOWIEC during a voyage from Casablanca to Poland. She had suffered a torpedo attack on 4th August 1944 but was salvaged and repaired at Genoa in 1951-52, then operating as TITO CAMPANELLA until sold to Polish S.S. Company in 1961.
HUTA SOSNOWIEC finally arrived at Bilbao on 3rd October 1971 for breaking.
