Polish Ocean Lines' 1967 Szczecin built MIESZKO I was photographed transiting the Kiel Canal at Hochdonn eastbound on 21st July 1969 during a voyage from Buenos Aires to Gdynia.

Almost in same way as duke Mieszko I begun the list of Polish monarchs in year 966, thousand years later m/s "Mieszko I"
started the B-445 type of general cargo ships - so-called "royal series", built by Szczecin Shipyard, that counted 18 vessels.
