Description:

Polish Ocean Lines' 1963 Szczecin built B516 type SNIADECKI is seen westbound in the Kiel Canal passing Hochdonn on 21st July 1969 on a voyage from Gdynia to New York. She was transferred in 1982 to the Polish Shipping Association and finally arrived at Taichung on 18.12.84 for breaking.

M/s Sniadecki built in Szczecin Shipyard Adolf Warski (and not as stated in the Nowa Shipyard (New). It was the third ship in the B516 series; (B516/I /3 for Polish Ocean Lines (PLO). After raising the flag on May 8, 1963, the ship entered service on the North American Line. On her maiden voyage she sailed from Gdynia on May 10, 1963. In November 1963, on the approach to the river Eems (Emden), Sniadecki collided with the Spanish freighter FINAMAR. sailed in PLO colors until December 1984. Sold for scrap, arrived in Shanghai in December 1984 and was dismantled there.
