Description:

08/01/1981, 'Eburna' in the Tasman Sea, between Brisbane and the Cook Straits, New Zealand.

Fully loaded from Singapore to three ports in New Zealand; Lyttlelton, Wellington and Auckland, a regular voyage with refined oil products, petrol, diesel, Jet fuel, luboils and etc.

A gentle swell keeps us rolling, and the decks washed ;-)


The lead product tanker of four sisters built by Mitsui for SHELL.
'Eburna', 'Ervilia', 'Euplecta' & 'Ebalina'.

Built in 1979 by Mitsui, Chiba, Japan (1123)
19,763 g.t.& 31,375 dwt., as:-
'Eburna' to 2000,
'Virgo' to 2002, &
'Eburna' until she arrived at Chittagong for demolition on 19/01/2007.

In 2005 she was converted to a vegetable oil tanker, of 18,654 g.t. & 29,999 dwt.
