Description:
The Polish Steamship Company's Liberty ship KOPALNIA MIECHOWICE was photographed leaving the Kiel Canal at Brunsbüttel westbound on 30th July 1969.
Built at Baltimore in 1944 as SAMETTRICK, she was purchased by Houlder Brothers in 1947 and traded as ELSTREE GRANGE until her sale to Poland in 1960. She finally arrived at Split on 25 March 1972 to be broken up.
