Suspected of oil pollution (a spill of 19 km) off the French coats, the Al Farabi was deverted to Brest (west part of France)on Sunday 2006/09/30. Ship manager had to pay a bail of 250 000 euros (318 000 USD). The captain will be tried for voluntary pollution in April 2007. Al Farabi was the 25 th boat deverted for pollution to Brest by the French authorities.
