Ellerman Lines’ 1944 Barclay Curle, Glasgow, built CITY OF CHESTER is seen passing Gravesend, outbound from London on 23rd August 1969 for the Persian Gulf. She finally arrived at Whampoa in October 1971 for breaking after a single voyage under the shortened name of CHESTER.
