Description:

The 1945 Savannah built C1-M-AV1 type SERENE MED, owned by Th.D.Petropoulos (Med Line) of Piraeus is seen passing Hoek van Holland, inbound for Rotterdam from Lattakia via Ghent, on 1st June 1972.

A "Pocket Liberty" type launched as SOLID SINNET, she was completed at Tampa in December 1947 as AULNE for the French Government and soon thereafter transferred to Cie. de Nav. Paquet of Marseille.

ATHEN was laid up at Piraeus on 12.2.79 and scrapped at Castellon in May 1980
