Ralph, you have the advantage over me, I have never been to Las Vegas. Judging from what images I've seen, as well as some personal experience, the greater majority of mass-market cruise ships are kitsch. Many of those at the upper end of the market are too, and if they are not kitsch then they are at the other extreme - boring, for example the Viking Ocean fleet.

Hmm, that's the thing Clive, it made me think of The Venetian in Las Vegas, which is very fun and entertaining (and quite an effort really!) but also rather kitsch.

I had to Google this ship and see her interiors. Her decorative theme is, unsurprisingly, Venice. I like most of the images that I saw of her public rooms and her cabins look very nice. But, as we know, we don't all like the same things.
