US Navy Whidbey Island class Landing Ship dock tied up at the Marine Hydraulics Shipyard in downtown Norfolk VA along the Elizabeth River.
She was named for the estate of George Mason of Virginia, a Revolutionary War figure and "Father of the Bill of Rights".
