The 1967 Haverton Hill (Teesside) built coastal tanker ESSO PURFLEET is seen passing Portishead, outbound from Avonmouth fifty years ago today, on 14th May 1969.

Later: 1983 PRIMA JEMIMA - 86 THITA PEGASUS - 87 RAINBOW - 87 DUBAI STAR - 91 EL MIURA - SICILY - 93 AFRICA

While on voyage from Eleusis to India for breaking, she was wrecked at Sarakiniko, Milos Island, on 17.12.03 and broke in two.
