Newly built MORAN tug coming out to assist the inbound NYK Falcon.
Taken from the new fishing pier at Fort Monroe Hampton VA.
She was built in East Boothbay Maine in 2018. She is a twin screw tractor tug rated at 6000 horsepower and is the 48th tractor tug placed in service by MORAN.
My guess is with the increase in ship size now going to all eastern US coastal ports after the opening of the enlarged Panama Canal, you will see tugs coming out further than before.
