Returning to port. (I noticed vessel quietly leaving the harbour early evening of May 2nd). Later that evening Marine Traffic was showing vessel anchored just outside entrance to port. Subject photo was taken while on ferry heading over to Dartmouth side of the harbour (morning of May 3rd) when I noticed HMCS Goose Bay returning to Her Majesty's Canadian dockyard (CFB Halifax).

Given the following description, it's difficult to place this type of vessel in any one specific category.
"They were designed to commercial standards and intended to conduct coastal patrols, minesweeping, law enforcement, pollution surveillance and response as well as search and rescue duties".
