Hehe, secretly I had hoped that she would turn up in that colour. Would have been a blast! :-)

I did some research how they might have come up with the idea for that name, but found nothing convincing: some fashion, a vodka brand, a language school... and a dildo (inspired by the London Gherkin by the way) :-)) (I had hoped for something more uplifting like a third degree cousin of author Jack London for example...)

She serves The Alliance Loop AL5 Europe - West Coast North America. At least seems to be in service til Oct. 19 (all my schedules end in Oct. 19).

Lila is the german word for purple. Maybe there will be a new hull color soon? :D

Maybe they were in a hurry to get the new name on the ship... Found a website where she is reported to have been sold for scrap on May 15th. So maybe she escaped the torch at short notice.
