Description:

The jack up drilling rig Ensco 123, on the River Tay, being towed towards Dundee. She is being towed by Maersk Lancer, with the tugs Strathdee, Kittiwake and Bugsier 3 in attendance. Ensco 123 is brand new 2019 built jack up, which is yet to start her first contract. She has only recently arrived in European waters after a voyage on a heavy lift ship from the builders in Singapore. She will be starting her first contract with Premier Oil in July, where she will drill a number of wells in the central North Sea. She is capable of drilling a 40,000 foot well, while standing in 400 ft of water.
