She later arrived at Rotterdam from Chungjin in North Korea on 29th November 1971 with fatal engine trouble and proceeded to Bantry Bay for a decision to be made on her future. She departed from there on 13th March 1972 under tow of the tug Fairplay XII bound for Aviles in northern Spain and finally arrived at San Juan de Nieva in Castrillón, Asturias, on 18th March 1972 for breaking.
