Well my friend Clive in Malta we have a saying "for every 100 persons you get 100 opinions" ,so it is all a matter of opinion and choice.
best regards my friend , have a nice weekend.

Yes, maybe it adds something to her bow but I still prefer her stern as it was built.

Clive ,I believe that this modifications made a significant improvement especially to her bow rake. For a 16 year old vessel she looks magnificent, save for that large radar dome atop her mast.

Thanks rd77, for this interesting additional info re the ILONA, such modifications in my view helped a lot.

I have to admit that I preferred her 'as built'. I do not like the way in which they have messed around with her stern.

IMO should be 1007964. She still looks great, even though she was modified quite a bit (bow was raised and stern extended among others). Her designers RWD (Redman Whiteley Dixon) did and still do quite a few nice yachts, including VAVA II, the largest ever British built yacht.

Yes Clive the ILONA is a very elegant vessel, what a difference fro the ultra modern "A". The Ilona is a very stately design with all the streamlining, yet not that flagrant modernistic look. Now that's a yacht I would gladly accept as a gift, not that there are that mad men around distributing such gifts.
best regards my friend

Now this is a modern yacht that I like. She has very elegant lines and looks graceful.
