Thank you all for your comments. She does have that old 'sixties look, and I was already very surprised when I saw her in 2017 at the same spot. This time, though, I had better conditions, with still enough sunlight. Our dear and unforgotten friend Jadran was a witness to her being rebuilt from LASH to a pure container carrier in the late 'eighties at Viktor Lenac shipyard in Rijeka.

Most impressive. There were 11 of these built by Avondale, as lash carriers, between 1973 and 1980 for operation with Delta, Waterman and Central Gulf. The last two were converted to boxships after purchase by Sea-Land in 1990 - now both with Pasha. The first two built are still believed to be in the US reserve fleet as Capes Farewell and Flattery.
