The category for vessels like this one has regularly been a subject of discussion. Some are in the ro-ro category, some in the general cargo. Which is correct seems to be a matter of opinion. There are many vessels that could fit into more than one category, for some, such as con-ro's, there is no category at all. The subject of vessel category's is regularly debated, and I understand there is a review taking place, so when that has been completed it may be easier to categorise vessels such as this.

These ships have limited ro-ro access to either the tweendeck or a small garage space aft. The majority of cargo is handled in a conventional fashion with holds/hatches and deck cranes.
