Description:

Paul Jebsen of Bergen had his tanker WILHELM JEBSEN built on Tyneside in 1953 for charter to the oil majors, so the ship was a frequent visitor to the Bristol Channel.

Here photographed passing Portishead, outbound from Avonmouth exactly fifty years ago, on 28th September 1969, she was reported in May 1970 as having been sold while Miramar reports her renaming as TELENIKIS in 1971, it seems owned by a subsidiary, Vlassoil, of London Greek owners N&J Vlassopulos Limited,a Company linked with Ulysses Line of Piraeus (M.Syngros). The ship finally arrived at Barcelona on 26.7.76 to be broken up.
