Marijan Zuvic advises as follows: PERNAT, which in 1977 was converted into a self unloading cement carrier, is still alive and it seems that an entire new career is waiting for her. On the very same wharf in the Cres harbour, as in this picture, she spent almost 10 years being laid up. Her owners, Brodogradilište 'Cres', first went bankrupt and than had been taken over by Italian interests. Owners stubbornly refused to sell her for scrap. A shipping expert friend visited her in 2014 and was surprised with a quality of her steel. This year PERNAT was finally sold to an entrepreneur willing to convert her into a luxury yacht/mini-cruiser.
