Description:

British Transport Commission (later British Waterways)'s 1952 Sharpness built SEVERNSIDE is seen departing from Avonmouth for Sharpness exactly fifty years ago today, on 17th October 1969.

early 1970s: sold to Allied Mills Ltd
1977: sold to Mardorf Peach (Weston Shipping)and modernised at Sharpness, sailing for the east coast of UK on 21.10.77

She was broken up at Strood during the second half of 2006
