The Pelsert is a dredger, that works in the Caland Canal on a permanent basis, dredging the channel in front of the entrance to the Scheurhaven, the base for the majority of the Europoort tugs. She stays where she and when she has a full load, barges come to be filled via the arms as can be seen in the middle of the ship.
