Thanks David you have confirmed what an old timer had told me that she is the ROBUST, but at the same time his friend disputed it, Yes my friend Michael Cassar wonderful book is a great source .
So I can safely title the photo as ROBUST.
Regards and thanks to all especially David.

Well, here's a thing. All the usual naval references list ROBUST as at Sheerness, then to Malta to replace the sunken HELLESPONT. But now I found two other photos of ROBUST taken pre-WW2 in Malta (on one the name can be read on the paddle box), both with the distinctive dark stripe on the funnel, as in this photo. Have not found photos of either of the others marked like that. ROBUST was definitely based at Sheerness in the early period of WW2, but it seems that she had service earlier in Malta

So, from "eliminated" to "front runner" in one jump, thanks to Michael Cassar's "Royal Navy Tugs at the Grand Harbour, Malta".

There were indeed three Robust-class that served in Grand Harbour: I can only eliminate ROBUST

1915-1953 VETERAN, renamed ANCIENT 1918
1922-1942 HELLESPONT
1943-1957 ROBUST
