Confirm LIEUTENANT ST. LOUBERT BIE, apparently renamed from MANNHEIM when she was transferred by French Government to Compagnie des Messageries Maritimes in 1922

She was also, with the same name, under British flag 1941-1945 (taken over 5/1941 off St Helena)
Ministry of War Transwport (mng Clan Line)
ON 168238, reg London, c/s BFXN

Returned to Messageries Maritimes in 1945 and used as a troop transport in Vietnam. She was damaged by a Vietminh mine near Saigon on 26 May 1950, and not worth full repairs so scrapped as noted.

Miramar states that between 1919-1950 the vessel was owned by the French Government and they give the name as 22 Lieutenant St.Loubert Bie
Broken up La Seyne 06.09.50 [SM Naval du Midi]
