Description:
Former whaler & sealer Dias ashore in Grytviken, South Georgia. Built 1906 as steam trawler Viola, served as minesweeper in WW1, 1920s sold to Norwegian interests named Kapduen, later converted to whaler & named Dias. Albatros behind.

DIAS, ex KAPDUEN, ex VIOLA, GRT:167, NRT:63, length 108.5 feet, breadth 21.7 feet, steamtrawler, built 1906, Cook,Welton & Gemmel,Beverley,UK and also Compania Argentina de Pesca SA, Buenos Aires, Argentina. I did not find an IMO number.
