The Furness built Mikasa is shown here leaving Rotterdam, early eighties. With almost 80000 DWT she was one of the largest panamaxes constructed during the sixties. She started trading as Mount Katherine and became Mikasa in 1974. As such she traded up to 1983, when she became Gosforth. The end was obviously near when she was renamed Go Forth in 1986, and Taiwanese breakers welcomed her in March 1987.
