Matt - Taking a ship out of service, for whatever reason, means it is not earning. So, owners generally use the class survey periods which occurs every 5 years to undertake this work (amongst other work), as generally the ship will be out of service for 2 weeks, and out of the water. This is why a 4.5, 9.5 or 14.5 year old ship can look weather beaten, whilst a 5, 10 or 15 year old ship can look like it has just come out of the showroom.

Yep certainly needs dry docking sooner rather than later!

Wow, I hope, she is due for docking....built in 2005, 15 years class renewal to come. please, get her some paint!
