Description:

I think this was the first picture I ever took of a ship.Circa 1956 I was on a Mersey ferry travelling over to New Brighton with my parents when I borrowed dad's Brownie 127 and captured Mersey Docks & Harbour Board's 728gt.1953 built, salvage and buoy vessel,VIGILANT,at Liverpools's pier head.
