Another, third ship owned by a Polish shipowner, named ŻEROMSKI.
General cargo ship built by the Shanghai shipyard on order of ChPTO Chipolbrok. Completed on June 20, 1982 as ZHANG HENG, it entered service in July of the same year. After almost 15 years of operation, Chipolbrok decided to sell the ship. On February 20, 1997, the purchase was made by POL-America, a subsidiary of Polish Ocean Lines (PLO). The ship was seized on April 23, 1997 in Antwerp. There, the name was also changed to ŻEROMSKI. The new owner began to appear in the register - POLOCEAN-S.Starzyński Shipping (Company registered in Cyprus). The ship began to carry the Cypriot flag and LIMASSOL became its home port. The new owner directed the ship to serve ports on the East Coast of South America. In January 2000, ŻEROMSKI was arrested in the port of Gdynia due to the financial problems of the owner and operator. Released after three months, he did not have time to leave the port of Gdynia. After three days, the arrest was reinstated. In January 2002, ŻEROMSKI changed its owner again. It was auctioned off to Universal Shipping Services, registered in Kingston, Jamaica.
The ship's name was changed to AJAX. After the renovation, the ship was used in the management of the Gdynia-based REM-SERVICE company. In 2007, the ship was sold. The name was changed to UNITED ASIA and the flag to St.Vincent & The Grenadines. My last reliable information about this ship comes from March 2011. At that time it was still in operation.
