Acquired by HMS “Belfast” Trust July 1971; converted for use as a museum by London Graving Dock Group; moored near Tower Bridge & opened to the public in October 1971. Has special permission to continue to fly the RN's white ensign (& presumably to retain the “HMS” prefix).
