Built 1959 by Harland & Wolff, Belfast, as AMAZON for Royal Mail Line, and became AKAROA in 1968. In 1971 she was converted into a car carrier and re-named AKARITA, before she became HUAL AKARITA in 1977; 1980 renamed AKARITA; 1981 broken up.
