Description:

In the early eighties Esso ordered 4 Aframax tankers with the China Shipbuilding Corp at Taiwan. The second of the four ships, which had been launched as ESSO SPAIN, suffered a hefty fire in July 1982 while fitting and was refused by Esso.
The hulk was repaired and finally delivered in February 1984 as MARINE REUNION to Marine Transport Lines from the US, one year after all the other three ships had been delivered.

In 1987 she was taken over by OSG and renamed REBECCA, while in 1990 Mowinckels stepped in and operated her for 8 years as the HITRA.
In 1998 she was converted to an FPSO for Indonesian account and was renamed PERINTIS. In 2019 she went for the torch at the Chittagong beach, conveniently renamed ERIN.

Shown here in 1985 in Europoort
