This ship was a cargo ship of Prudential Grace Line, and she belonged to a family of four ships; The Santa Magdalena, Santa Mercedes, Santa Maria and Santa Monica. These 4 ships served from the Atlantic coast of the United States to the Pacific coast of South America in the sixties and seventies.
These ships were one of the first containerized ships and also carried passengers.
