Remarks:
- During (un-)loading operations in Manzanillo, Mexico, 230 kg cocaine was discovered in cargo of industrial rollers (08/11/'16). Later, after ongoing investigations, another load of 278 kg cocaine in 295 packages was discovered, to be believed from same cargo (08/12/'16). Laura Maersk loaded the container in Arica, Chile.
- Suffered Engine Room fire in Bering Sea, 7 nm north of Akutan Island, Aleutian Islands, causing loss of propulsion while en route from Vancouver, Canada to Busan, Korea (14/07/'17). Ship was towed to Dutch Harbour, Alaska.
- In collision with MSC Shuba B (IMO: ) during manouvring operations in Callau, Peru (24/03/'18). Bow of Laura Maersk hit MSC Shuba B, which was moored, at SB-side aft ship. Both ships suffered minor damage.
- Suffered explosion in Engine Room, approx. 275 nm off the coast of Ocean City, North Carolina (05/06/'20). One crew member suffered burns and left Laura Maersk disabled. US Coast Guard launched an MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter and an HC-130 Hercules airplane from Air Station Elizabeth City to medevac the injured crewmember. Due to long distance, Coast Guard Fifth District coordinated with U.S. Fleet Forces Command to have helicopter land on USS Mahan (DDG 72) and refuel before conducting the medevac. Crew mamber was transported to Norfolk Sentara General Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia.
