built 1951 by Eriksbergs MV., Göteborg, as KRONOLAND for Angfartygs A/B Tirfing, Göteborg; renamed VIRGINIA in 1965; sold 1969 to Greek owners and renamed AEOLOS; after becoming AIS GIORGIS in 1973, she was destroyed by fire in January 1974 in Santos;

Hi Wolfgang, Swedish Amerika's Maltesholm and Vibyholm were very similar but Brostrom's Kronoland was a better match, also being the only one under Greek flag in 1972. Thanks to Manfred for finding a photo of her as Aeolos. Best regards, Neil

Thanks NeilB and Manfred for identifying the ship. There seems to be no sistership so that she is most likely AEOLOS
