Dirk, the ships have just been returned to Royal Caribbean, because Pullmantur has folded. It's a financial thing. As you say, both Sovereign and Monarch have already been stripped of anything valuable/usable. These ships are not going anywhere but the breakers. Royal Caribbean is a stock exchange-listed company, so once all three of the ships together in the Med and a deal with a Turkish breaker is finalised, they will have to announce it. If the deal is successful, I think they will send Majesty of the seas and Empress of the seas to Turkey as well.

@ Tony Martin: Rumours abound; according to the latest will all three Pullmantur ships now actually going back to RCI. Sovereign and Monarch to RCCL and Horizon to Celebrity. The RCCL will do short cruises and the Horizon will fill a small ship niche for Celebrity.

Dirk very nice photograph, great ship. Tragic if she is going to the breakers. Unfortunately others will follow.
