Of course you are right. I didn't place the information about former names, because I didn't remember. Only I was sure that she was built in Germany, and the name was relatively long, started from "CH" letters.
I also don't remember the exact date of the explosion in the engine, it happened maybe in December 2005. After that the vessel was drifted for one week long time, and was towed to Singapore Anchorage.

This vessel was definitely built by HDW in Kiel, Germany. Unfortunately I can get no info when I log in the IMO number. That year six similar vessels were built: CAROLINA, CHARLOTTA, STUBBENHUK, SLOMAN NAJADE, MOSEL and OSTFRIESLAND. I could find at Miramar the history of five vessels but sometimes only up to 1995. Possible that this can be the former CHARLOTTA.

I think, you're right! She's the former CHARLOTTA, built by HDW-Hamburg (Werk Ross) in 1978.
