Description:

Length over all 157.2 m; breadth 19.2 m;
built 1960 by Deutsche Werft, Hamburg-Finkenwerder, for HAPAG, Hamburg; she was trapped in June 1967 in the Great Bitter Lake (Suez Canal) during the Six-Days-War, where she stayed for almost eight years; on 24th May 1975 she returned to Hamburg; 1979 sold to Greek owners and renamed MÜNSTERLANDES; 1984 broken up;
the photo shows her after the arrival in Hamburg in 1975, welcomed by the public; scanned from color slide;

All a matter of personal opinion of course but I would say that the most beautiful ships (cargo or passenger) were built in the 1950s.

Fully agreed, although the appearance of the Münsterland is affected by eight years in the Bitter Lake
