Length over all 157.2 m; breadth 19.2 m;
built 1960 by Deutsche Werft, Hamburg-Finkenwerder, for HAPAG, Hamburg; she was trapped in June 1967 in the Great Bitter Lake (Suez Canal) during the Six-Days-War, where she stayed for almost eight years; on 24th May 1975 she returned to Hamburg; 1979 sold to Greek owners and renamed MÜNSTERLANDES; 1984 broken up;
the photo shows her after the arrival in Hamburg in 1975, welcomed by the public; scanned from color slide;

With a layer of bitumen on deck she would have had adequate protection against corrosion during the eight years stay at the Bitter lakes
