The river is too wide for Totnes, most likely Dartmouth Harbour, looks like what is now the steam railway runs along behind her. When Reeves used to import timber from Scandinavia into Totnes, the ships would often unload part of their cargo into barges mid-stream in Dartmouth, especially during a neap-tide period.
