Indeed, the captain's cabin is on the starboard side. :)
Now, about the contents of the vapor substance rising from the forward vent mast: I have no answer for you (and I've discussed it with other people, too!), except that it's LNG fuel system related - and it can be a number of things...

Must be the Chief Engineers water heater, captain is living on the other side 😀.
Anyway what is blowing, over-pressured LNG?
