Especially designed to support oil rigs in deep waters and with reinforced hull to navigate among ice, therefore she has an excellent 'seakeeping'. The vessel can load up to 1,400 tons.

Acquired by Chile, changes flag at the port of Frediricia, Denmark, on November 20, 1987, arriving at Valparaíso on January 26, 1988.

Fue asignado a la Tercera Zona Naval como remolcador y para faenas de rescate y salvataje. A contar de 1990 fue asignado a la Flotilla Antártica apoyando a las Bases del Territorio Chileno Antártico durante el período anual de abastecimiento, desde noviembre a febrero de cada año.

A contar del 01 de enero de 1999 está asignado a la Comandancia en Jefe de la Escuadra

She was assigned to the third Naval Zone as tug and for rescue and salvage operations. From 1990 she was assigned to the Antarctic fleet supporting the bases in the Antarctic Chilean territory during the annual supply, from November to February each year.

Since January 01, 1999 she is assigned to the Fleet Headquarters.
