Description:
Pacific Steam Navigation Company’s 1955 Greenock built steam turbine powered Pizarro is seen discharging a bulk cargo of ore concentrate from the west coast of South America at West Wharf 5, Avonmouth, on 13th June 1971.
At the end of 1972 she was sold, together with sister ships POTOSI and COTOPAXI, to Gourdomichalis of Piraeus to trade as KAVO MALEAS until arriving at Kaohsiung on 10th October 1974 for breaking, her sisters lasting a year or two longer.
