Description:

The James A. Hannah and its barge are near the east entrance of the Welland Canal waiting for the fog to dissipate. Owned by Hannah Marine Corp. of Lemont, Illinois, the James A. Hannah was built in 1945 at the U.S. Army LT-820. In 1965 it was sold and became the Muskegon until 1971 when it assumed its present name. We would see this tug 24 hours later and many miles away as it was downbound in the St. Lawrence River and Seaway.
