The funnel of the German firm: Kölnische und Düsseldorfer Gesellschaft für Rhein-Dampfschiffahrt, that founded in 1853 after two firms in Köln (Cologne) and Dusseldorf amalgamated. In 1967 the name changed to Köln-Düsseldorfer Deutsche Rheinschiffahrt Aktiengesellschaft and slowly the red KD-logo appeared on the funnels.
The picture shows the funnel of the former paddle steamer MAINZ, that later became the technical museum MUSEUMSCHIFF MANNHEIM at Mannhein, but closed in December 2018 due to lack of funds for restoration.
