The cement carrier English River moves out of Lock 2 at the Welland Canal on November 25, 2006 during a transit from Lake Ontario to Lake Erie.
Owned by Lafarge Canada, Inc of Montreal, Quebec the ship is managed by Canada Steamship Lines. The 404 foot 03 inch English River was built in 1961 and converted to a self unloading cement carrier in 1974.
