Description:

Peter Iredale was a steel hulled bark rigged sailing ship. She went aground near the mouth of the Columbia River, (near the town of Astoria, Oregon), during the 1st decade of the 20th Century. She was partially broken up. Her bow remains.

I visited this lady in late January after heavy storms had revealed much more. Basically her whole length is there, but nothing above the mid-decks. Stumps and parts of all three masts are still visible as are some small pieces of deck planking.

I'll post a few of my pictures in a bit.
